3 Payment rules

3.1 Deposits to and withdrawals from a Congobet account are always made through a financial institution or payment solution provider. The procedures, terms and conditions, availability and duration for deposits/withdrawals may vary from time to time, as well as from country to country and financial institution to financial institution. Current recommendations are available after logging into the site, under the headings "Deposit" and "Withdrawal".

 

3.2 Congobet will not make a payment of more than two thousand euros (or the equivalent amount in the operating currency) to an account holder from their Congobet account before the identity, age and place of residence of the account holder have been sufficiently verified.

 

3.3 Congobet may appoint a payment solution provider to act, receive deposits, hold and manage funds and/or facilitate withdrawals on behalf of Congobet.

 

3.4 Congobet does not accept cash funds transferred or deposited directly to Congobet or a payment solution provider.

 

3.5 Congobet will credit to the Congobet Account all funds received by Congobet from or on behalf of the Account Holder or owed by Congobet to the Account Holder.

 

3.6 Payment/withdrawal method to/from Congobet account

 

3.6.1 An account holder may:

 

a. to make deposits to the Congobet account only with his personal card or from his personal account opened with one of the financial institutions or their licensees;

b. to request withdrawals of funds held in the Congobet account only to his personal account opened at one of the financial institutions or to licensees on their behalf.

3.6.2 An account holder is responsible for providing Congobet with correct personal account details for the purpose of withdrawals from the Congobet account.

 

3.6.3 An account holder must not allow third parties to use their Congobet account to make deposits or withdrawals to/from their Congobet account.

 

3.6.4 The Account Holder has the sole obligation to ensure that he complies with the above provisions.

 

3.7 Congobet will not accept a stake from an account holder unless a Congobet account has been created in the account holder's name and there are adequate funds in the Congobet account to cover the stake amount or the funds required to cover the stake amount are provided in an approved manner.

 

3.8 Congobet does not carry out operations with the balance of a Congobet account except for:

 

a. to debit from the Congobet account a stake made by the account holder or the amount that the account holder specifies that he wants to stake during a game that he is playing or is about to play;

b. to remit funds from the Congobet account credit to the account holder, at his request;

c. pay reasonable bank fees for deposits received and funds withdrawn; or

d. other purposes authorized by the legislation on remote gambling.

3.9 The balance of a Congobet account may become negative in the event of a payment return.

 

3.10 Withdrawals from a Congobet account are made by payments to the account holder or by transfers to a bank account held in the account holder's name, as directed by the account holder. Where possible, Congobet will require withdrawals to be made only to the same account used by the account holder to make deposits.

 

3.11 If an account holder wishes to withdraw funds that they have deposited into their Congobet account, before wagering them on any gaming or sports betting offer, Congobet reserves the right to refuse the account holder the withdrawal of the deposited funds, until the deposited funds have been wagered in full for the first time.

 

3.12 Depending on the payment method chosen by the account holder, minimum and/or maximum deposit limits may apply.

 

3.13 Congobet reserves the right to charge the account holder the administrative costs resulting from withdrawals made by the account holder, as indicated on the site.

 

3.14 Placing a bet via the internet may be illegal in the jurisdiction in which an account holder is resident and/or domiciled; if so, the account holder is not authorised to use a card for the purpose of placing the bet.

 

3.15 Congobet, the regulator or any competent authority may monitor or examine all transactions for the purpose of preventing money laundering. All suspicious transactions detected by Congobet will be reported to the competent authorities.

 

3.16 The Account Holder is solely responsible for paying and making all necessary due diligence checks in relation to taxes on any prize, if and when applicable.

 

 

4 Security rules

 

4.1 Congobet maintains strict confidentiality regarding all relationships with the account holder. However, the data may be disclosed to a third party for investigations, if requested by the competent authority, a court of law or, if required by law, another public authority and/or in the event that an account holder violates Congobet rules.

 

4.2 The Account Holder is allocated a personal account number. The Account Holder chooses a password and a username. The Account Holder is obliged not to disclose this information. If the Account Holder has reason to believe that this information has become known to others, the Account Holder must immediately contact Congobet’s customer support service and a new password will be issued. Congobet is not obliged to keep the username or passwords. If the Account Holder misplaces, forgets, loses or discloses to a third party his username and/or password or is otherwise unable to access the Site or any Service for any reason other than Congobet’s error, Congobet will not be responsible and will not be liable for any claims relating to the relevant Congobet account.

 

4.3 All telephone communications between the account holder and Congobet are recorded for security and training purposes and/or for compliance with accounting and financial regulations.

 

4.4 All communications by electronic means between the account holder and Congobet are kept on record for compliance with accounting and financial regulations.

 

4.5 Card deposits may be declined, partially or completely, from time to time, depending on certain security systems managed in collaboration with a payment solution provider and/or financial institution. These security measures may decline cards that are legitimate but cannot be processed at a given time. Congobet staff does not control said systems nor do they know the reasons for a deposit being declined.

 

4.6 Congobet may request documents to verify the identity of a cardholder and/or their authorization to use a particular card and/or other data and information provided by the account holder before making deposits and/or withdrawals. This may result in minor delays. From time to time, payments are returned and these situations will be dealt with in accordance with Congobet's procedures.

 

4.7 It is illegal to use and/or abuse an error or incompleteness on the website and/or in the client application and/or in the software and/or in the services made available on the website. If the account holder detects or becomes aware of such an error or incompleteness, he must:

 

a. to refrain from taking advantage of the situation;

b. to keep the error or incompleteness in question strictly confidential;

c. when detecting or becoming aware of such an error or incompleteness, notify Congobet by sending an email to support@congobet.cd.

Without prejudice to any other remedies provided by law or in equity, if the Account Holder fails to comply with this clause, Congobet:

 

a. is entitled to full compensation for all costs that may be associated with the error or incompleteness, as well as for the damage resulting from the breach of this clause by the account holder;

b. reserves the right, in particular, but not limited to, to block the account holder's Congobet account and/or to freeze or reduce, in whole or in part, the balance of the Congobet account, without prior notice, in order to cover, in part or in full, the damage suffered or expected to be suffered by Congobet.

4.8 The identity of an account holder will be established based on all or a combination of information, such as name, mailing address, email address, credit/debit card number, CNP and any other type of identity data that may be required.
